Oracle Economy

The Oracle Economy

When Jason built the Argo, he did not sail alone. Embedded in the prow of his ship was a beam of sacred oak from Dodona. This beam could speak, warning of storms and guiding the Argonauts through the impossible Clashing Rocks.

But in the mythos of the voyage, Jason was granted a finite number of direct interventions—often cited as three.

This limitation created a fundamental principle of resource management. Jason could not ask the Oracle to help him tie his sandals or find a lost oar. He had to save his requests for the existential threats that no mortal could solve. To waste a request on the trivial was to doom the expedition.

The Ironwood Supercomputer

In Augean, the "Sacred Oak" is the Ironwood TPU Pod. When you are in Pro Mode, you are connected directly to a Google Data Center capable of 42 Exaflops of compute.

Like the Oracle, this supercomputer has a cost. It is not magic; it is physics. Every "Pro" request engages billions of transistors and consumes megawatts of power to perform deep Matrix Multiplications. This makes "High-Fidelity Inference" a scarce, high-value resource that must be managed.

The Downgrade Protocol

This is where the Oracle Economy applies to you. If the system detects that you are flooding the engine with trivial, rapid-fire, or repetitive prompts, you are violating the economy of the machine.

The Consequence: The connection to the Supercomputer is severed. You are downgraded from the High-Performance Path (Pro Mode / Gemini Ultra) to the Standard Path (Fast Mode / Gemini Flash).

In Fast Mode, the deep, PhD-level reasoning vanishes. You are left with a standard, capable, but ultimately basic assistant.

Economize Your Research

To maintain your connection to the Ironwood Cluster, you must act like Jason. Do not waste your "Pro" tokens on simple questions that a standard search could answer.

Save the Tri-Modal power for the brick walls in your genealogy—the conflicting birth dates, the unreadable wills, and the impossible lineages. By economizing your prompts, you ensure that when you truly need the High-Performance Model, it is available to you.
