Find the Match in FamilySearch




Match requires more parameters than search.
But match will often find the exact person.

Match requires the given name, surname, gender, and one of the following, or no data will be returned.
•    Birth date, place.
•    Death date, place.
•    Spouse given name, surname.
•    Father's given name, surname.
•    Mother's given name, surname

Values that contain white space must be surrounded by double quotes (for example "Sally Mae").
Name values may include the '*' and '?' wildcard characters.

Download tree from FamilySearch
    Import the person to GEDCOM, or compare with an existing GEDCOM person.
 •   Search may return results, even if Match does not - Match requires more data.
•   Use the date range, for specify a range of dates.
